Send from Gmail – Jenny’s Weekly Tip #17

Have you ever clicked an email address on a webpage and it opened up Outlook? Annoying right?

Wouldn’t it be great if you could click on an email link and for it to take you straight to your compose box in Gmail? Well, with Send from Gmail this is now possible. Enabling this add on will make Gmail your default email application.

Phew. That’s going to make things a lot easier.

Check out the instructions below to see how you can add this little add on.

 1. Go to the Chrome Web Store – you can click the link below to take you straight to the add on.

2. Click the blue ‘+ Free’ icon

3. Click Add on the pop up window

4. You will receive a pop letting you know that the Chrome add on has been added.

5. To disable the feature go to your Chrome Settings>Extensions

6.Untick the enabled icon next to the Send using Gmail add on.

Ta dah! You now have the ability to Send from Gmail anywhere on the web.
